Kermit The Frog - #ThatsNoneOfMyBusinessThou Nail Art Humor

Charlie Chaplin said and it has been one of my favorite quotes to date "A day without laughter is a day wasted."

Good Morning! It's A Beautiful Day.

Despite your situation choose Joy! Choose to laugh and not cry; unless you're laughing so hard that tears come(s) to your eyes and you cant help but "cry" while you're laughing. HA!HA!

YES!

We've all had those moments when something occurred or someone said something so funny that your tummy ached and despite the pain you can't help but squeeze your tummy while you allowed yourself to enjoy every bit of the joke.

What's all this talking about laughter have to do with the header of today's Mani? You Ask?
Well.. EVERYTHING! hehe!

This past week I've noticed Kermit the Frog has become a popular meme who seems to be enjoying tea, Lipton for that fact and he's quite a "chatter box" ha!ha! as some would say a Snitch and the popular phrase to top his ranting would be "But That's None Of My Business Thou" or as seen all over Instagram, Twitter and Facebook as #thatsnoneofmybusinessthou

I must admit I have seen a couple of hilarious ones and decided to join in on the fun by recreating this for what I'll call today's Mani Laughter. Oscar wasn't quite pleased that Kermit was enjoying the pleasures of being mean and green so he decided to confront Kermit about the matter. ha!ha!

As funny as some of those post may be in the words of Admiral Tibbet "Leave People Business Alone And Mine Your Own." Ha Ha!

Hope you all enjoyed these as much as I did.

Cookie Monster - Sesame Street Nail Art (II)

Hey dolls and gents,

Today's Mani Monday is a recap with a twist. I really don't like doing duplicated designs on clients but this young lady took a trip (over two hours drive) because she fell in love with my last Cookie Monster nail art design.

In our discussion I promised that I would do my best to give her a similar design that she won't regret.

Below is the inspired design followed by the design I did on her nails.

She previously had nails on her hands (square shaped) but wanted them pointed as the previous picture; I shaped the nails using a hand file and did a Mixed Media designed. (3d acrylic sculpted cookies and hand painted nail art using Nail Polish)

Cookie Monster Couple hehe..

I was satisfied with the results and boy oh boy was she just as excited that she even booked her two weeks in advanced appointment. As another long distant client keeps reminding me "the distance doesn't matter wants it's quality work."
I'm truly grateful for the many ladies that go the extra mile to get there nails done and are satisfied.

I trust you all enjoyed this Cookie Monster twist as I did recreating it.

The Flintstones - Cartoon Nail Art Design

Let's take it back today for a bit of transformation Mani and what dedication and believing in your craft can do as an artist.
If you're following me on Instagram I've shared this pic a couple weeks ago but had to blog about it this week because one too many time(s) nail artist ask for the "How to?" without even trying for themselves.

I've never been to art school nor have I taken any nail art courses for all those that have asked or if you were among those afraid to ask and may assume I have. I eat, sleep and talk nail art; let's just say I have a fascination, a tad bit obsession some may say for nail art. Don't judge me. lol

As as artist, only you know what you want to accomplish. KEEP PUSHING yourself until you get the results you're looking for.
I can only speak for myself as I share my journey and progress with you and I must say with all those sleepless nights I let my nails do the talking.

Do not be intimidated or hesitate to try that design you've always wanted but thought it was too hard.
So what?
Even if it's hard the more you practice the better and easier it'll become for you. I guarantee you'll even discover a technique that suits your style.

You can do it too. No Excuses.

Design below done a year ago. (photo on top to date [2014])

Do I need to persuade you into the habit of loving what you do and making every free time you have worth getting a better result?

Here's the rest of the Flintstones Cast all hand painted using Kleancolor Lacquer Nail Polishes and detailing done with my favorite Kiss Nail Art in black and white.

I thank God daily for these hands he's blessed me with and the ability to be creative. I cannot take credit or at least all the credit for the growth you've seen. I do however, believe God has blessed each and every one of us with a gift and then there are many of us with talents also. (don't mix up the two) Both grow in effectiveness with use.

Have a positive attitude when you're at the designing table and just enjoy the process.

Cookie Monster - Sesame Street Nail Art (I)

Hi dolls and gents,

Today's mani inspired design is by my favorite Monster, who always seem to have the munchies for some Cookies. Yum yum!

I've always wanted to do a cookie(s) themed nail art. Why shouldn't I? I've been called Cookie from birth and 27 years later let's say that won't change; thanks to that elderly lady who saw me as a baby and like my mom told me she said I was just a cute little Cookie lol (she had great eyes if you ask me for an old lady). hehehe

Anyways, in wanting to do my cookie theme nails immediately I thought to myself. 'Why not include a cartoon character that loves Cookies?' I did not have to think or search far for that answer, I mean Cookie Monster has been apart of my growing up; (all of ours) we've all got to thank Sesame Street for that.

I did attempt to do Cookie Monster on my nails over a year now and maybe I will share a picture of it to the end of this blog, I also designed a set of Cookie Monster theme nails and one of my spoil clients loved it and a year later she decided that we were going to try and duplicate that same design on her nails.

Here is the set of nails I designed an the pictures I used for reference.

Have you gotten out of your seat for that Cookie in the jar yet?
Don't go just yet; or if you can make it back in a quick second to view the duplicated set I did on my client, maybe you can take a Cookie break. :)

Thumbs up if you've managed to get back within that second (well the nails are pointing down but you know)

Omm Nom Nom Nom!
Before I leave cookie crumbs all over my desk I'll leave you'll with a few more pics including the design I did on my own nails as promised.

Oscar The Grouch - Sesame Street Nail Art

I know I usually try to do exciting throw back cartoon(s) nail art for you dolls and gents; but today I decided to show love to my beautiful clients and share a bit of humor from the few hours we share together.

I must say I have a wonderful time with you all and the stories, comments or replies you all give to passersby about you'll nail art lol inspired today'snail art design.

I think Oscar The Grouch summarized it pretty nicely. Love you dolls alot.

Oscars got an attitude problem.

Do have a wonderful day.
